We hope you had a great year as we did. In any way, we are very thankful for all of the great times we shared with our many partners around the world. Here are some of the things that made our year quite unforgettable and often didn’t let us sleep at night.
The team has seen tremendous geographical growth, and we could manifest our presence in five of our markets. We’ve opened offices in London, Madrid, Mumbai, Milan and New York this year. That counts a total 7 offices worldwide, on top of our existing offices in Berlin and Bangalore.
Our team has also grown in numbers: we’ve started the year as a team of 27 and we’re ending it as a team of 82. Our 55 additions were distributed across the globe: 38 in India, 12 in the EU and 5 in the US. In India specifically, we are proud to have launched our data science team, which is working at the forefront of App and URL processing drawing on the experience of our VP Data Science who brought the knowledge of 4 patents from his time at IBM Watson with him.
We’re happy that our continuous strive to provide better results from data has found many fans. Throughout the year the word has spread and a significant share of the world’s top brands have started using our data in their campaigns.
2017 was the year where zeotap expanded beyond just telecom data. We’ve won major global enterprises like a leading software security firm and a major payroll provider and grew the number of unique data profiles around the globe to 600M. These selected partners belong to the few to have passed our newly introduced rigid quality data testing through which we have funneled over 300 data samples to make sure our clients consistently get superior quality data no matter the source.
In an effort to bring our data to all advertisers in each market through the platforms of their choice, we’ve seen some exciting integrations with the some of the players on both the demand and supply side.
We’ve taken an active role in more than 40 events this year across 3 different continents to educate the global market through panels, keynotes, roundtables and whatever format you can think of.
With so much going on, we’re happy to see how relevant media have helped us spread the word about the mission we’re on and the progress we’ve made.
We’ve also been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 certification. Not all of you might know that this is one of the hardest enterprise-grade security certifications any company can get in the world of data. The whole process took about half a year and we’re proud to show to our clients that our technology is absolutely bulletproof.
Talking about data can get a bit complex at times. So we borrowed the concept of good and evil to deliver an epic battle to the 1500 visitors of Programmatic Day Italia titled “Ad Wars. The Data Awakens”.
